Entering into the Ceramic House by Garcia and Ruiz Architects , you feel you’ve crossed into a new dimension. A converted attic within an old building, this house uses square footage like you’ve never seen before. With much interior flexibility thanks to its spaciousness, the interior is both simple and intricate. The maddeningly amazing combination is due largely to a muted lighter palette, contributing to the spacious feel. The open plan of the space allows for shapes and rooms to merge into each other, which creates a freedom—as well as some issues such as privacy. The bedroom is set above the living room, providing for visual privacy, though the space is ultimately open. Though this might cause concerns regarding true privacy, the construction and placement coincides perfectly with the overall aesthetic: an uncomplicated way of living. Key pieces grace the room, such as the darker furniture and detailing of these mirrors. Attention must be paid to every detail because this house is an understated palette that allows for unusual geometrics and detailing without shouting its uniqueness. What a beautiful way to create an entire living space out of one large attic, and to do so with individualized chic. Via DesignMilk
