- I live in a beach town in Los Angeles county. The houses are very close to each other and yards are very small. So burning is not possible in my area.
- I looked into driving my trash to the dump myself. LA is a big place, and the only public “dump” I could find was 40 miles away. And they charge by the pound. And I don’t have a pickup or trailer. So after renting a pickup or trailer, then driving 40 miles, and paying to drop it off, this would be a huge hassle and expense.
Right now, renting a dumpster is looking like the best option. Or finding a community dumpster (even if it isn’t my community!) and tossing this stuff in.

If you or a friend have a pick-up truck, you could throw the debris in the back of that and haul it to the local dump yourselves.
Good luck!
actual if it is some thing in good condition u could probably make something with it or just take it to the dump with a rented trailer if u have a truck or SUV
Why don’t you just cut the stuff up until it fits in the trash can and put some out each collection until it’s gone?
First, make sure you have a burn permit if you need one (usually under $10 from fire dept.) and have a good old fashioned bond fire. What won’t burn, either scrap it for extra money, or like previously said, find another use for it. Or if it’s something useful, ask around to see if anyone can use it.
-If you don’t feel like fooling with scrapping, put a sign in your yard for a day or 2. There are actually people who ride around looking for things like that. Hope I could help. -Erin

Order up the 3 yd. bin for $80. It comes to you, load it up(make sure you can still push it, weight wise) they pick it up. Easier than taking it to the dump yourself.
Two things that will definitely work.
1) Get all the crap as close to the weekly trash pickup spot. When the truck comes run up to the guys and ask them if you can throw all this stuff in for a $25 each tip. There is usually two guys and they WILL take it. I’ve done this hundreds of times on kitchen and bathroom remodels.
2) The cheaper way would be to advertise on craigslist. If you have copper piping as your “pipes” either advertise that aspect on craigslist.com or look around for a company that will take it. Sometimes they will come and take everything just so they can reclaim the stuff that’s worth anything. I have a company that will routinely come and pick up a reasonable amount of trash for the amount of recycleables. Or really if any of what you’d call junk is something someone will use you can either sell it on craigslist outright and use the cash fora dumpster or make a deal that they take all away for free.
-Call up your township to inquire about bulk pickups, many townships allow one or more bulk pickups for FREE anually.
-You coudl burn some of it, do not burn pressure treeated wood though, it has arsenic in it. If you dont know what pressure treated wood looks like, then its not a good idea to burn it.
-Many town house communities have community dumpsters for everybody to use! The one by me has no signs saying who its for, so i frequently drive 1/2 mile down the road to drop off large debris there.
I dont condone random dumping of debris, however, i see no harm in dumping wood in some random location, Its wood, it came from the forest, and it should be perfectly acceptable to return it to the forest, IDC what the law says about it, its wood, its ok. This doesnt apply to the cabinates which will ahve glue and laminates, or the pipes which obviously arnt wood.
Habitat for Humanity has resale stores that will often pick up lumber, doors, pipes, or any building materials that they can resell.
lets you post free stuff that people might be able to reuse.
Rent a Penske or Hertz truck for the day, and haul the stuff off to the dump yourself.
Dumpster companies may drop off the dumpster for $80, but they’ll charge by the pound for what they pick up and take away.
